Their memorable wedding ceremony was held at the Silver Creek Country Club in San Jose on a sunny morning, followed by a vibrant and lively reception at The Glass House, making it a day to remember for everyone who attended.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Silver Creek Country Club, a stunning venue nestled in the foothills of San Jose. The picturesque location provided the perfect backdrop for the blending of Indian and Mexican traditions. Kasturi, radiant in her traditional Indian bridal attire, entered the ceremony to the melodious sound of Indian classical music. She wore a resplendent orange and magent lehenga adorned with intricate gold embroidery, and her hands were adorned with henna art. Ed dashing in his Indian attire.

The ceremony seamlessly integrated elements from both cultures. The Indian priest conducted a traditional Hindu ceremony, followed by Readings from the Old and New Testament and exchange of vows and ring, creating a harmonious fusion that represented the union of two vibrant heritages.

The Indian portion of Kasturi and Ed’s wedding was steeped in time-honored traditions, each imbued with profound symbolism and significance. Antarpat. It is stated in the Vedic scriptures that at the time of marriage the groom is a representation of Lord Vishnu. At the beginning of the ceremony, a veil of cloth (Antarpat) is held in front of the groom to prevent him from seeing the bride as she enters.

Jaimala: The Exchange of Floral Garlands

In the Varmala tradition, the bride and groom exchange beautifully crafted garlands of flowers. This exchange symbolizes their acceptance of each other as life partners. 

The flower girls were no strangers to the groom; in fact, they were his beloved nieces. Their presence added a familial touch to the ceremony, and it was evident that they held a special place in Kebe’s heart. The bond between uncle and nieces was beautifully showcased as they shared smiles, giggles, and the excitement of being part of this joyous occasion.

The evening reception was a lively and colorful affair, reflecting the Mexican love for music and dance as well as the Indian vibrant decor. Traditional Mexican dishes and zesty Mexican street tacos were served, satisfying the palate of every guest.

 

The dance floor came alive as the couple shared their first dance to a mix of Indian and Mexican music, leading the way for a night of energetic salsa dancing and the intricate moves of Indian classical dances. 

 

The vibrant colors of kasturi’s bridal attire and the energetic beats of the music created an ambiance that was nothing short of magical.
